Merck Q3 Profit Falls to $5.07 Billion Despite 4.7% Revenue Growth; Full-Year EPS Guidance $2.77-$2.82

Merck & Co. (MRK) reported third-quarter earnings of $5.065 billion, or $2.04 per share, down from $5.785 billion, or $2.32 per share, in the same period last year. Revenue rose 4.7% to $18.085 billion from $17.276 billion. Excluding items, adjusted earnings came in at $6.159 billion, or $2.49 per share. The company guided full-year EPS to a range of $2.77 to $2.82 and full-year revenue to $66.8 billion to $67.3 billion.
