Middlesex Water Q3 Profit Rises to $18.01 Million as Revenue Climbs 11.3%

Middlesex Water Co. (MSEX) reported higher third-quarter earnings, with net income rising to $18.01 million, or $0.95 per share, from $13.94 million, or $0.77 per share, a year earlier. Revenue for the period increased 11.3% to $60.20 million from $54.09 million in the prior-year quarter, according to the company's GAAP results. The utility's bottom line grew on both higher revenue and improved per-share profitability compared with the same period last year.
