U.S. stock futures slipped Tuesday, with Nasdaq 100 futures down 0.62% and S&P 500 futures off 0.2%, as rising crude prices and a fresh selloff in AI-linked shares weighed on sentiment. Dow futures edged up 0.06%. AI names led premarket declines: CoreWeave (CRWV) fell 4.7%, Nebius (NBIS) dropped 4.9%, Apple (AAPL) lost 1.2% and Nvidia (NVDA) traded slightly lower. Concerns over CoreWeave's debt load and AI infrastructure costs drove a sharp tech pullback last week; Monday's dip-buying did little to restore confidence. ActivTrades analyst Ion Jauregui said investors are now selective on AI, focusing on financial health and profitability rather than broad buying. Brent crude approached a five-month high after Houthi attacks on Saudi infrastructure and reports of vessels struck in the Persian Gulf raised supply concerns. In single stocks, 3M (MMM) rose 0.5% premarket after expanding its Amazon (AMZN) data-center partnership, issuing Amazon warrants for over $521 million of 3M shares and raising full-year guidance. Steel Dynamics fell 5.7% on a third-quarter miss, General Motors (GM) dropped 5.2% despite beating estimates, and Halliburton (HAL) gained 5.7% on an earnings beat. Investors await results from SpaceX and Netflix Tuesday and Meta and Tesla Wednesday.
