HOYA Q2 Net Income Climbs 27.6% to 70.7 Billion Yen as Revenue Tops 260 Billion Yen

HOYA Corporation (HYB.F, 7741.T) reported second-quarter profit attributable to owners of 70.7 billion yen, up 27.6% from the prior year period, with diluted earnings per share rising to 211.83 yen from 161.93 yen. Revenue for the quarter climbed 10.9% year-over-year to 260.2 billion yen, driven by its Information Technology segment, which pushed consolidated revenue growth into double digits. The company said quarterly revenue and profit set record highs. HOYA shares were trading at 26,125 yen on the Tokyo Exchange, down 0.78%.
