Freight Broker Fura Acquires Road Dog Logistics, Adding $30 Million in Revenue

Fura has acquired truckload brokerage Road Dog Logistics, adding approximately $30 million in revenue to its AI-powered platform. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal is Frisco, Texas-based Fura's eighth acquisition and expands its platform, which now exceeds $100 million in revenue. Fura targets brokers with less than $30 million in annual revenue, a 3PL segment often overlooked by private equity. Cincinnati-based Road Dog's team will continue managing daily operations before migrating to Fura's technology platform, which provides AI quoting, carrier-sales functions and shipment visibility. The acquisition deepens Fura's reach in managed transportation and adds a food-and-beverage customer book. The deal follows Fura's August acquisition of Vancouver, Washington-based High Rise Logistics and its June purchase of LG Logistics Solutions. Fura is pursuing a repeatable consolidation model in the fragmented freight brokerage industry, migrating acquisitions onto a shared automation platform rather than stacking overhead costs.
