Publicis Reaches FTC Settlement Over $2.17 Billion LiveRamp Acquisition
Publicis Groupe SA (PUBGY.PK, PUBP.PA) said it reached a mutually acceptable agreement with the Federal Trade Commission resolving antitrust concerns over its proposed acquisition of LiveRamp Holdings Inc. (RAMP), a provider of data connectivity services for digital advertising. Under the deal, LiveRamp will continue operating as a neutral platform to ensure Publicis does not gain an unfair advantage over competitors in the digital advertising marketplace. The agreement also addresses concerns that Publicis could deny or degrade rivals' access to LiveRamp services, which the FTC said would raise costs and lower service quality for customers. Publicis previously announced plans to acquire LiveRamp in an all-cash transaction with a total enterprise value of $2.167 billion. The deal represents a total equity value of $2.546 billion and includes acquired net cash of $379 million.
