Anthropic IPO Filing Shows $16.3 Billion First-Half Revenue, Diversified Enterprise Base

Anthropic PBC's IPO filing disclosed $16.3 billion in revenue for the first half of this year, up more than 1,300% from the same period in 2025, calming investors after two bruising weeks for the artificial intelligence trade and helping lift the Nasdaq 100 1.1% on Monday. About 79% of revenue in the first nine months of 2026 came from outside the company's top five customers, a diversification figure Franklin Templeton's Max Gokhman called "pretty solid." The Claude developer reported $131.7 billion in cash and cash equivalents at the end of June against $141.1 billion raised to date — a ratio Tema ETFs' Yuri Khodjamirian called "quite remarkable," noting the company has effectively spent $9 billion building the business. The filing's reception reversed recent sentiment driven by concerns over debt-funded AI infrastructure spending. The S&P 500 rose 0.7% and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index gained 2.8%. Separately, Meta said Monday it upsized a planned common and preferred stock sale to nearly $98 billion from $95 billion; Meta shares fell more than 1%, extending last week's decline.
