Anthropic to File S-1 as Soon as Friday, Testing $2 Trillion Valuation in Record IPO Bid
Anthropic plans to publicly file its S-1 registration statement as soon as Friday, moving the AI company toward a potential record-breaking IPO, Yahoo Finance reported, citing three people familiar with the matter. The filing would cross a key procedural threshold ahead of a roadshow. The company confidentially submitted a draft registration with the SEC in June; SEC rules require public filing at least 15 calendar days before a roadshow. Confirmation of a November listing still depends on market conditions. Anthropic reported $16.3 billion in first-half 2026 revenue and a net loss exceeding $80 billion, The Wall Street Journal reported. Revenue rose to $16.8 billion in the third quarter from $11.5 billion in the second, and the company is profitable on an adjusted basis, the Financial Times reported. Wall Street expects a raise of up to $100 billion at a $2 trillion valuation, according to Reuters. The IPO would be a key gauge of AI sentiment after several recent listings stumbled, including Elice's 32% first-day drop.
