Reliance Says Ambanis, Rubio Discussed Energy and Data Centres During India Visit
Reliance Industries said Wednesday that Mukesh Ambani and his son Anant Ambani held talks with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the global energy landscape and the intersection of energy and digital infrastructure, including data centres. Rubio's two-day visit to Mumbai and Jamnagar included discussions on commercial partnerships across conventional and new energy, Reliance said. Rubio told reporters Tuesday he planned to encourage Reliance to refine more Venezuelan crude at its local refineries and potentially begin producing oil in the South American country. Reliance's two Jamnagar refineries, with combined capacity of about 1.4 million barrels per day, can process ultra-heavy Venezuelan crudes. As Venezuela's oil production has increased, Reliance has emerged as a significant importer of the nation's crude.
