Anthropic IPO Filing Reveals Seven Co-Founders Worth Over $13 Billion Each; Employee Options Carry $98 Billion Paper Gain

Each of Anthropic's seven co-founders, including CEO Dario Amodei and President Daniela Amodei, holds roughly 1.4% of the AI company, valuing each fortune above $13 billion based on its latest $965 billion funding round, according to its IPO prospectus. A $2 trillion IPO valuation would lift each stake past $27 billion before dilution. The founders would retain control through a new "Founder LLC" holding 50.1% of voting power, a structure Anthropic called "novel" with no direct precedent among public companies. The Long-Term Benefit Trust, which appoints four of seven directors, provides partial counterbalance. All seven pledged 80% of their equity to philanthropy. Unvested employee stock options carried about $98 billion in potential gains as of June, with an average exercise price of $2.89 per share. Anthropic posted $16.3 billion in revenue and an $80.7 billion net loss in the first half of 2026, versus $1.2 billion in revenue and a $13 billion loss a year earlier.
