Hyundai Engineering & Construction Q3 Net Income Falls 13.4% as Sales Drop 20.3%

Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. (000720.KS) reported Thursday that third-quarter net income attributable to shareholders fell 13.4% to KRW 37.8 billion from KRW 43.6 billion a year earlier. Operating income rose to KRW 221.7 billion from KRW 103.5 billion in the prior year, even as sales declined 20.3% to KRW 6.24 trillion from KRW 7.83 trillion. The company's shares closed trading down 7.88% at KRW 84,200 on the Korean Stock Exchange.
