Athabasca Oil Sands Posts Higher Q3 Profit as Revenue Jumps 38.3%

Athabasca Oil Sands Corp. (ATH.TO) reported increased third-quarter earnings, with net income rising to C$77.81 million, or C$0.16 per share, from C$69.64 million, or C$0.14 per share, a year earlier. Revenue for the period climbed 38.3% to C$461.05 million from C$333.40 million in the prior-year quarter, according to the company's GAAP results. The Calgary-based oil producer's per-share profit rose C$0.02 year over year.
