Revolut to Launch Private Tech Investment Platform in 2027
Revolut announced Monday it will launch Revolut Ventures, a platform letting retail investors buy stakes in private technology companies, integrated into its app and expected to be available in 2027. The UK fintech cited data showing the median age at which tech companies go public rose from 6.9 years in 2014 to 11 years in 2025, meaning more growth occurs before retail investors can access shares. The platform will sit alongside existing offerings including stocks, ETFs, bonds and money market funds, following private market products introduced in selected EEA countries in July 2026. Rolandas Juteika, Head of Revolut Wealth and Trading (EEA), said the move aims to dismantle "retail investor exclusion from non-listed companies." Revolut cautioned that private investments are harder to sell and investors could lose a substantial portion or all of their capital. The launch follows full banking licences secured in the UK and France earlier this year; Revolut is also weighing a dual listing in London and New York.
