Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei's 2025 Pay Revealed at $18 Million in IPO Filing
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei earned $18 million in 2025, according to the company's IPO prospectus, a figure that places him mid-range among Big Tech executives. Most of his package came from stock and options, not salary. Both Dario Amodei and president Daniela Amodei saw their base salaries double to $1.4 million in July, the prospectus shows. Daniela Amodei received $16.4 million last year. The board also granted the pair restricted stock units tied to tenure and the IPO. CFO Krishna Rao earned $720,250 in 2025. Equilar's Courtney Yu told Reuters the pay "seems on the lower end for a company valued at $2 trillion," noting Amodei may receive a smaller IPO wealth share given six other co-founders. Average S&P 500 CEO pay reached $22.8 million last year, per the AFL-CIO. The filing, submitted confidentially in June, has not been made public. Anthropic targets a pre-Thanksgiving listing, with a roadshow potentially starting the week of Nov. 9. Investors value the company at $1.8 trillion to $2 trillion.
