Anthropic IPO Filing Reveals $637 Billion Compute Commitments, $6.6 Million Revenue Per Employee
Anthropic's IPO prospectus, filed Monday, discloses $637 billion in non-cancellable computing commitments against roughly $130 billion in cash and short-term investments, offering the most detailed public look yet at the AI developer's finances ahead of a potentially record-setting listing. The company reported nearly 2,000 customers generating $1 million or more in revenue and 250 at $10 million or more, with half the Fortune 500 paying $100,000 annually. Revenue per employee reached $6.6 million at the end of the third quarter, only slightly below Nvidia. Anthropic's five largest customers accounted for approximately 25% of revenue in the first nine months of 2026, and nearly 50% of first-half revenue flowed through cloud marketplaces run by Amazon, Google and Microsoft — firms that are simultaneously investors, compute suppliers and competitors. Payments to SpaceX for computing are now seen reaching $3.1 billion a month and up to $120.5 billion through 2029, cancellable by either side with 90 days notice. Theory Ventures' Tomasz Tunguz noted a $2 trillion valuation would require 50% growth. CEO Dario Amodei received nearly $18 million in total compensation in 2025.
