Anthropic Plans Public IPO Filing Monday, Targets Record-Scale Debut
Anthropic PBC plans to file publicly for an initial public offering Monday at around 9 a.m. in New York, according to people familiar with the matter, moving the AI model maker toward a potentially record-breaking debut. The company behind Claude is set to begin formally marketing the offering as soon as the week of Nov. 9, Bloomberg News reported. Anthropic expects to match or beat the size of SpaceX's IPO, the people said. Fox Business earlier reported the filing timing. Anthropic representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The deal would defy a string of delays in the global new-listings market: AirTrunk postponed a Singapore REIT IPO to next year, days after Australian data center company Firmus scrapped its planned offering. Anthropic and rival OpenAI also face mounting scrutiny over AI safety following high-profile hacking incidents by rogue agents, raising concern about the potential impact on the debut.
