Atlas Arteria Q3 Proportional Toll Revenue Drops 8.9% on FX Headwinds; Shares Flat at A$3.68
Atlas Arteria Ltd. (ALX.AX) reported an 8.9% year-on-year decline in proportional toll revenue for the third quarter of 2026, though the drop narrowed to 0.4% excluding currency effects. Shares closed flat at A$3.68 on the ASX Wednesday. U.S. and German assets posted traffic growth, while elevated fuel prices — which hit a new peak in September — continued to weigh on light-vehicle traffic in France. At APRR, vehicle kilometres fell 3.5% and toll revenue slipped 1.7%. Chicago Skyway traffic rose 6.4% with revenue up 9.6%; Dulles Greenway traffic gained 3.7% and revenue 3.9%. Warnow Tunnel revenue rose 4.2%. Year-to-date proportional toll revenue fell 5.6%, but rose 0.2% excluding foreign exchange movements. The company flagged potential tax increases under France's draft 2027 Finance Bill, presented October 1, including a higher Long-distance Transport Infrastructure Tax (TEILD) and a one-year extension of the Temporary Supplemental Tax. Atlas Arteria said the proposed TEILD changes would have added about €210 million to APRR Group's 2025 costs, when TEILD expenses totaled €126.7 million. Final rates remain subject to parliamentary approval.
