Airbus Q3 Net Income Rises 20% to €1.34 Billion Despite Revenue Decline; Reaffirms 2026 Guidance
Airbus SE reported Wednesday that third-quarter net income rose 20% to €1.34 billion, or €1.70 per share, from €1.12 billion, or €1.41 per share, a year earlier, even as revenue declined 2% to €17.47 billion. The company reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance. Adjusted EBIT fell 9% to €1.77 billion, which Airbus attributed to lower commercial aircraft deliveries, an unfavorable product mix at its commercial aircraft and helicopter businesses, and costs tied to integrating former Spirit AeroSystems work packages. For the first nine months of 2026, Airbus delivered 547 commercial aircraft, up from 507 a year earlier. Nine-month revenue rose 7% to €50.65 billion, and net income increased to €3.59 billion from €2.64 billion. Airbus maintained its 2026 targets of approximately 870 commercial aircraft deliveries, adjusted EBIT of about €7.5 billion, and free cash flow before customer financing of roughly €4.5 billion.
