Asana Partners Plans Overhaul of Austin's Arboretum to Compete With The Domain

Asana Partners is planning a renovation and expansion of the Arboretum shopping center in Austin, Texas, aiming to reposition the 200,000-square-foot open-air retail site as an 18-hour destination that can compete with The Domain, according to the Austin Business Journal. The Charlotte-based firm bought the property at 10000 Research Boulevard in February for an undisclosed price. Its plans, still awaiting city approval, include a new 13,600-square-foot building for restaurant and retail use along Great Hills Trail, plus patios and common areas for community programming and live music. Construction on the new outparcel is set to begin in spring 2027, with shell completion expected in the fourth quarter of that year and tenants opening by fall 2028. Jetset Pilates and skincare company Peachy have signed leases. Michael Hsu Office of Architecture is designing the project. Existing tenants include Pottery Barn and Amy's Ice Creams.
