Anthropic Files Public S-1 for Nasdaq IPO Under 'ANT' Ticker

Anthropic, developer of the Claude AI models, made its IPO filing public Monday, planning to list Class A stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under "ANT." Share count and price range were not disclosed. Anthropic and existing shareholders will sell shares, with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley leading 24 underwriters. The filing follows a confidential June draft; Reuters reported backers hope for a valuation above $2 trillion. Anthropic raised $65 billion at a $965 billion valuation in May. Revenue reached $16.29 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2026, versus $1.16 billion a year earlier. Full-year 2025 revenue was $4.59 billion. The company posted an $80.7 billion net loss for the first half, mostly a $72.4 billion fair-value charge on convertible notes tied to rising valuation; operating loss was $693 million. Anthropic held $112.4 billion in cash plus $19.3 billion in short-term investments as of June 30. A Class F share held by co-founders carries 50.1% voting power, making Anthropic a "controlled company" under Nasdaq rules.
