Sun Pharma's UNLOXCYT Gains NCCN Category 2A Listing for Locally Advanced Skin Cancer

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (SUNPHARMA, 524715) said UNLOXCYT (cosibelimab-ipdl) has been added as a National Comprehensive Cancer Network Category 2A recommended option for patients with locally advanced cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma who are not candidates for curative surgery or radiation. The designation adds to a Category 2A recommendation UNLOXCYT received for metastatic CSCC in 2025. The FDA approved the drug in 2024 for adults with metastatic or locally advanced CSCC; it is the only approved PD-L1-blocking antibody for advanced CSCC, dosed at 1,200 mg intravenously every three weeks. The guideline update was supported by data from the pivotal registration study, in which 55% of patients achieved an objective response, including 26% with a complete response. Median duration of response was not reached at a median follow-up of 24.1 months, and fewer than 1% of patients experienced Grade 3-5 immune-mediated adverse reactions. SUNPHARMA.NS closed Tuesday's trade at 1,743 rupees and was recently down 0.20% at 1,740.20 rupees.
