SpaceX Q3 Revenue Jumps 161% as AI Unit Surpasses Starlink With 830% Growth

SpaceX reported third-quarter revenue of $14.58 billion, up 161% year over year, and swung to an operating profit of $2.79 billion from a $2.73 billion loss a year earlier, the company said on October 20. Its renamed Super Intelligence (SI) AI division became the largest revenue source, posting $7.56 billion, up 830% and about 52% of group revenue. SI growth was driven by new cloud service contracts, wider enterprise and consumer adoption of Grok, and the acquisition of coding tool Cursor, which closed August 14 and contributed $608 million. AI solutions and infrastructure revenue reached $7.02 billion, with advertising at $538 million. The SI unit posted a $431 million operating profit, reversing a $1.72 billion loss. Starlink remains the profit engine: communications revenue rose 69% to $5.25 billion, with operating income up 99% to $2.37 billion. Consumer subscribers reached 13.6 million, up 1.6 million in the quarter. Capital spending hit $19.59 billion, with $16.44 billion, or 84%, directed to SI as computing capacity rose to 1.7GW from 1.4GW. Nine-month operating cash flow of $13.10 billion trailed $48.07 billion in capital expenditure.
