In-N-Out Burger Weighs Expansion into Arkansas, Mississippi and Oklahoma

In-N-Out Burger may expand into Arkansas, Mississippi and Oklahoma, CEO Lynsi Snyder said in an interview published on the chain's Facebook page on Oct. 22 and on its website. "There's some other states … that could be on the way," Snyder told actor Terry Crews, adding that a New Mexico location is also possible. She said the company's 2011 move into Texas felt "very right." The privately held chain owns all of its more than 400 locations across 10 states and has no franchisees, according to its website. USA TODAY contacted In-N-Out on Oct. 30 for details on potential openings but received no response. Snyder, whose grandparents founded the chain in 1948 in Baldwin Park, California, described a "very steady growth rate." In-N-Out did not expand outside California until November 1992, when it opened in Las Vegas, and most recently entered Tennessee on Dec. 10, 2025. Snyder said she will relocate to Tennessee, where the company will need an office.
