Audi to Invest $4 Billion in First U.S. Plant in Georgia, Creating 4,500 Jobs

Audi plans to build its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Georgia, investing approximately $4 billion in a plant expected to create around 4,500 jobs, the German luxury automaker announced. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027, with vehicle production targeted for the early 2030s. The facility will have capacity to assemble up to 200,000 vehicles annually, focused on premium SUVs designed for North American customers. Audi said the investment aims to capture growth in one of the world's key premium automotive markets and will establish North America as a core production pillar alongside its European operations. The company said it expects to announce further U.S. investments as it expands its American footprint.
