NurExone Biologic (NRX.V, NRXBF) said it doubled exosome production by running two bioreactors in parallel without increasing overall manufacturing time, advancing its scalable manufacturing strategy. The parallel run achieved twice the yield while maintaining comparable particle size, identity markers, purity and anti-inflammatory activity, the company said. The results offer initial evidence that capacity can be expanded by adding standardized units rather than investing in larger bioreactors. NurExone is pursuing the modular approach through U.S. subsidiary Exo-Top Inc. and a collaboration with Made Scientific, aiming to improve manufacturing efficiency and support future commercial supply. Its lead candidate, ExoPTEN, is in development for acute spinal cord injury and optic nerve damage, while Exo-Top explores commercial uses of mesenchymal stromal cell-derived exosomes. The stock closed at CAD 0.54, unchanged on the TSX Venture Exchange.
