Mercedes-Benz, NVIDIA to Launch MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO Urban Semi-Automated Driving System in 2027
Mercedes-Benz Group AG (MBGAF.PK) introduced MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO, an extended urban semi-automated driving system developed with NVIDIA (NVDA), expected to be available for order from the first half of 2027, the company said Wednesday. Shares closed at $46.39, up 2.20 percent on the OTC Markets. Vehicles with the required hardware can receive the feature via an over-the-air software update without a workshop visit, and Mercedes plans a free one-month trial for equipped customers. Availability will vary by model, with plans to roll the system across the passenger car and van range. From the end of 2026, Mercedes will introduce the system in Stuttgart and Munich for selected customers whose vehicles already have the required hardware, contacting them directly. CEO Ola Källenius said the Germany launch "underlines our commitment to play a leading role in automated and assisted driving."
