Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang urged Europe to accelerate AI adoption across automotive, financial and healthcare sectors at the company's GTC conference in Berlin on Wednesday, unveiling new hardware, software and partnerships despite growing market concern over infrastructure spending. The push comes as AI stocks face two weeks of selling pressure, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index posting its longest losing streak since 2008. Nvidia introduced the DSX Pod, a containerized mini data center pre-loaded with servers and tested by partners including Dell (DELL) that cuts hardware installation time from six months to 14 days for deployments under 1 gigawatt. European customers including Nscale are adopting the DSX blueprint and next-generation Vera Rubin processor architecture. To ease supply bottlenecks, Ibiden (IBIDY), Samsung Electro-Mechanics and Unimicron (3037-TW) will boost substrate supply; Amkor (AMKR) will quadruple chip packaging capacity by end-2028, while King Yuan Electronics (2449-TW) expands testing capacity. Nvidia said its physical AI business, spanning robotics, grew 30% year-over-year to about $11 billion in the first half. Medical partnerships with Siemens (SIEGY) and automotive tie-ups with Volvo (VLVLY) and Volkswagen (VWAGY) were also announced.
