Novo Nordisk (NVO) said CagriSema produced an average 25% weight loss at Week 68 among women with overweight or obesity, versus 3% for placebo, according to two post hoc analyses of its Phase 3 REDEFINE 1 trial presented at The Menopause Society 2026 Annual Meeting. Weight loss was consistent across menopausal stages: 26.7% in premenopausal women, 24.8% in perimenopausal women and 23.1% in postmenopausal women. The analyses also showed reductions in waist circumference. CagriSema is a once-weekly combination of semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist, and cagrilintide, a long-acting amylin analog. Novo Nordisk filed a New Drug Application with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in December 2025 for CagriSema for weight management, with a regulatory decision expected in the fourth quarter of 2026. The drug remains investigational and has not been approved in the United States. NVO was trading at $39.00, up 1.54%.
