Optimi Health Completes MDMA Batch for Phase 3 PTSD Trial, Australia Supply
Optimi Health Corp. (OPTH) said it completed a new production batch of MDMA capsules to support a proposed Phase 3 PTSD trial in Canada, a MAPS-run trial in Israel and commercial supply to Australia. Shares fell 0.60% to $3.31. The Canadian trial is expected to enroll up to 100 veterans and current or former frontline workers across multiple sites, with two supervised MDMA-assisted therapy sessions plus psychotherapy assessed via the CAPS-5 scale. It is expected to begin in 2027, subject to requirements. Optimi plans its next commercial MDMA shipment to Australia before the end of 2026, where eligible clinicians can prescribe MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD under the Authorised Prescriber Scheme. The batch also supports the MAPS Israel trial under the Healing October 7th project, approved by the Israeli Ministry of Health. Optimi said its MDMA products have not received market authorization from Health Canada.
