Palisade Bio, Inc. (PALI) said Wednesday it dosed the first patient in its global Phase 2b ASCENTRA-UC trial of once-daily oral PALI-2108 for moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis. Topline induction results are expected in the fourth quarter of 2027. The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study will enroll approximately 204 patients receiving PALI-2108 at 15 mg or 30 mg once daily. The primary endpoint is clinical remission at week 12 measured by the Modified Mayo Score, with key secondary endpoints including clinical response, endoscopic improvement and histologic-endoscopic mucosal improvement. Eligible patients then enter a 36-week maintenance phase assessing durability through week 48. Palisade has activated 29 of 30 planned U.S. sites and targets approximately 115 globally. The trial builds on an uncontrolled Phase 1b cohort in which all five patients achieved clinical response after seven days, including two in remission, with no serious adverse events reported. PALI closed Wednesday at $1.19, down 0.83%, and rose 1.68% to $1.21 after hours.
