PicPay is pushing to consolidate its position as one of Brazil's largest digital banks following its parent PicS N.V.'s January IPO, which raised over $400 million and made it the first Brazilian company to list in the U.S. in four years. Nasdaq-traded shares under ticker PICS have fallen roughly 60% this year, closing at $7.86 on Thursday amid a broader Brazilian market sell-off. New CFO André Cazotto, promoted in August, oversees a finance team of about 300 and is pursuing a "low and grow" credit strategy, extending initial limits of $50 to $100 to digital wallet users. In its most recent earnings period, total accounts rose 10% year-over-year to 70.4 million and adjusted net income jumped 135% to R$283 million ($52.5 million). PicPay is also taking an "agnostic" approach to AI vendors to reduce cost per token, keeping customer service staffing near 300. Cazotto, 40, cited competition with incumbents as his biggest concern.
