Packaging Corp. of America Q3 Profit Rises to $262.3 Million on Higher Sales

Packaging Corporation of America (PKG) reported Wednesday that third-quarter net income rose to $262.3 million, or $2.93 per share, up from $226.9 million, or $2.51 per share, a year earlier. Net sales increased to $2.6017 billion from $2.3134 billion. For the first nine months of 2026, net income declined to $625.3 million, or $6.98 per share, from $672.3 million, or $7.45 per share, in the prior-year period, despite net sales rising to $7.4593 billion from $6.6257 billion. PKG closed Wednesday's trading at $239.00 on the New York Stock Exchange, up $0.08, or 0.03 percent.
