Palantir Technologies Inc. drew thousands of fans to a two-story pop-up store in Seoul last week, where a Korea-exclusive $170 windbreaker sold out within hours alongside hoodies, T-shirts and hats bearing its logo. Merchandise sales from the event jumped 30% from 2025, according to Eliano Younes, Palantir's head of engagement. South Korea has at times ranked as Palantir's second-largest market after the US for online merchandise. CEO Alex Karp last year called the country the "second most interesting market" after the US. Since opening its South Korean office in 2022, Palantir has expanded ties with local industry, signing a deal last week with Posco Future M and partnerships with telecom giant KT in March 2025 and defense firm LIG Nex1 in March. Seoul has tripled its AI budget this year to 10.1 trillion won ($7.6 billion).
