Reliance, Inc. (RS) on Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $402.9 million, with per-share earnings of $7.84 that beat Wall Street expectations. Adjusted for one-time gains and costs, earnings came to $8.02 per share, topping the average estimate of $6.76 per share from four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research. The Phoenix-based metals service-center company posted revenue of $5.21 billion, also exceeding Street forecasts of $4.68 billion from three analysts surveyed by Zacks. For the current quarter ending in December, Reliance expects per-share earnings to range from $7.40 to $7.60.
