Sonic Automotive Q3 Profit Falls to $41.1 Million as EPS Slips to $1.28

Sonic Automotive Inc. (SAH) reported third-quarter earnings of $41.1 million, or $1.28 per share, down from $46.8 million, or $1.33 per share, a year earlier. Excluding items, the dealership group posted adjusted earnings of $41.9 million, or $1.30 per share. Revenue rose 0.4% to $3.988 billion from $3.973 billion in the prior-year period, the company said.
