King Yuan Electronics Buys Fort Worth Land for $1.3B Chip Testing Plant
Taiwan's King Yuan Electronics has purchased a 27-acre site in Fort Worth from an entity tied to ASB Real Estate Investments for $79 million, advancing a planned $1.3 billion semiconductor testing facility expected to test chips for Nvidia. A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation lists construction costs at $300 million for a 507,000-square-foot building, dubbed Everman Fort Worth Building 2, at 273 West Everman Parkway. Plano-based Kara Architecture and Interior is the design firm. Construction was expected to begin late this month and run through an August 2027 completion date. King Yuan plans to invest at least $1 billion in real property and $300 million in equipment, and the Fort Worth City Council was expected to vote on tax breaks earlier this week. The project reflects surging industrial real estate demand tied to the AI buildout. The Dallas-Fort Worth area ranked first in the Urban Land Institute and PricewaterhouseCoopers Emerging Trends in Real Estate list of markets to watch in 2027.
