Thailand's Stock Exchange of Thailand is set for another weak open Friday, extending a three-session slide that has erased nearly 35 points, or 2.2 percent, and left the index just beneath the 1,545-point mark. The SET fell 21.50 points, or 1.37 percent, to close Thursday at 1,544.60, trading between 1,544.20 and 1,564.92 on volume of 10.349 billion shares worth 68.972 billion baht. Decliners led 339 to 109, with 193 unchanged, as food, finance, industrial, service, resource and technology sectors all lost ground. The soft regional outlook follows a negative Wall Street session, where the NASDAQ tumbled 1.38 percent to 26,184.72 as technology stocks came under pressure. Alphabet (GOOGL) plunged 13.2 percent on weaker-than-expected third-quarter revenue and negative free cash flow. The Dow shed 0.25 percent to 52,342.56 and the S&P 500 lost 0.30 percent to 7,720.39. Thailand separately releases September industrial production, trade and current account data later Friday.
