Condé Nast is partnering with Shopify to bring editor-curated shopping collections to the Shop app, the companies told Axios. Editors from Vogue, GQ, Architectural Digest, Allure, Condé Nast Traveler and Glamour will curate weekly collections appearing on the app and Shop.com, with some collections already live and a larger rollout expected in early November. Condé Nast, the first major publisher to join Shop's curation program, will earn commissions on purchases plus performance-based incentives; the companies declined to disclose further terms. Its websites will also direct consumers to Shop for checkout on select editor-recommended products, though coverage will continue to feature products from other retailers. The move extends Condé Nast's commerce expansion, which includes creator platform Vette, launched out of beta in September. Lisa Aiken, senior vice president of commerce, said 60% of U.S. commerce revenue comes from repeat audiences. The push follows an Adweek report that Condé Nast is forecasting a more than $35 million shortfall against its fourth-quarter U.S. advertising target; a spokesperson disputed the figures and said the company expects full-year U.S. ad revenue near target and another year of global revenue and profit growth.
