Sherwin-Williams Q3 Earnings Miss Estimates Despite Revenue Beat; Shares Guidance for Full Year

Sherwin-Williams Co. (SHW) reported third-quarter net income of $821 million, or $3.38 per share, missing Wall Street expectations as adjusted earnings of $3.63 per share fell short of the $3.65 average estimate from eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research. The Cleveland-based paint and coatings maker posted revenue of $6.86 billion, surpassing the $6.78 billion forecast from six analysts. Adjusted earnings excluded amortization and severance costs. Sherwin-Williams expects full-year earnings in the range of $11.85 to $12.15 per share.
