Snap-On Inc. (SNA) reported third-quarter profit of $243 million, or $4.64 per share, missing Wall Street expectations of $4.91 per share from five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research, the Kenosha, Wisconsin-based company said Thursday. Revenue for the quarter totaled $1.18 billion, also below Street forecasts of $1.23 billion from four analysts surveyed by Zacks. The tool and diagnostic equipment maker's results fell short on both profit and sales as the company continues to face softer demand conditions, though the report did not specify factors behind the miss.
