STMicroelectronics (STM-US) on October 29 issued its first-ever full-year guidance, forecasting 2026 revenue of about $14.5 billion, up nearly 23% year over year and above the $14.1 billion market estimate. The company projected gross margin rising to roughly 36.4% from 33.9% last year. CEO Jean-Marc Chery cited data centers and satellites as the year's two main growth drivers. Fourth-quarter revenue is guided at about $41.5 billion—wait, $4.15 billion—above the $4.12 billion consensus and up about 25% from $3.33 billion a year earlier. For the third quarter ended September 26, revenue rose nearly 18% to $3.76 billion, beating the company's $3.7 billion guidance and the $3.73 billion consensus. Gross margin was 37.3%. Net income of $291 million topped last year's $237 million but missed the $343 million estimate. STMicro projects space-related chip revenue above $3 billion for 2026-2028, excluding potential orbital data-center business. The company raised its 2026 data-center revenue target in July to more than $1 billion. Shares have roughly doubled this year.
