Smurfit Westrock Posts Q3 Earnings of $222 Million, Misses Analyst Estimates

Smurfit Westrock Plc (SW) reported third-quarter earnings of $222 million on Wednesday, missing Wall Street expectations as both profit and revenue fell short of analyst forecasts. The Dublin-based paper and packaging company posted net income of 42 cents per share, or 45 cents per share adjusted for non-recurring costs. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research had expected 60 cents per share. Revenue for the period came in at $8.16 billion, below the $8.32 billion forecast by four Zacks-surveyed analysts.
