Target (NYSE: TGT) announced Monday a digital holiday kids catalog featuring about 500 toys, games and gifts, alongside a QR-code-linked print edition and a new list-scanner tool that converts handwritten wish lists into digital lists in its app. The catalog, the retailer's most expansive to date, lets shoppers double-tap items to save to shareable wish lists or add directly to carts. Each print page carries a unique QR code linking to the corresponding digital page. Target also released "Bullseye's Top Toys List" of 50 merchant-curated products, with over half exclusive to the retailer. The company emphasized affordability, citing prices starting near $5 and more than 1,000 toys under $10. The push follows last week's price cuts on about 2,000 home, apparel and accessories items, after roughly 3,000 reductions this spring. Target reported second-quarter net sales rose 5.3% year over year to $26.5 billion, with net earnings more than doubling to nearly $1.9 billion.
