Universal Health Services Q3 Net Income Falls to $308.7 Million Despite 5.3% Revenue Growth; Shares Drop

Universal Health Services Inc. (UHS) reported a decline in third-quarter 2026 profit even as revenue rose 5.3% year over year, sending shares down 4.52% to close Tuesday's trade at $177.32. Net income attributable to the company fell to $308.68 million, or $5.22 per share, from $372.96 million, or $5.86 per share, a year earlier. Total net income slipped to $313.33 million from $379.10 million. Net revenue climbed to $4.733 billion from $4.495 billion in the prior-year period. The company operates acute care hospitals, outpatient centers and behavioral health facilities across the United States. UHS has traded between $140.08 and $246.33 over the past 52 weeks. In overnight trading, the stock was down 3.81% at $170.56.
