United Rentals Q3 Profit Rises to $920 Million as Revenue Climbs 15.7%

United Rentals Inc. (URI) reported third-quarter earnings of $920 million, or $14.77 per share, up from $701 million, or $10.91 per share, in the same period last year, the equipment rental company announced. Excluding items, the company posted adjusted earnings of $15.55 per share. Revenue for the quarter rose 15.7% to $4.893 billion from $4.229 billion a year earlier. United Rentals issued full-year revenue guidance of $18.0 billion to $18.2 billion. The company did not specify the reporting date or the comparable period in the release.
