Veracyte Says Decipher Test Identifies High-Risk Prostate Cancer Patients Who Benefit From Abiraterone

Veracyte Inc. (VCYT) said Friday that new data show its Decipher Prostate Genomic Classifier can identify men with very high-risk, nonmetastatic prostate cancer who may benefit from adding abiraterone to androgen deprivation therapy. Shares rose 2.28% to $47.09 on the Nasdaq. A retrospective analysis of the Phase III STAMPEDE trial provided Level 1B evidence that Decipher can predict which patients are most likely to benefit from the combination, the company said. Dr. Sarah Howlett of University College London will present the findings at the ESMO Congress 2026. The results build on Decipher's established use in assessing cancer progression risk and on earlier STAMPEDE findings cited in the 2027 NCCN prostate cancer guidelines.
