Valero Energy Q3 Profit Surges to $6.83 Billion on 43% Revenue Growth

Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) reported third-quarter earnings of $6.828 billion, or $23.89 per share, up sharply from $1.095 billion, or $3.53 per share, in the same period last year. Excluding certain items, the refiner posted adjusted earnings of $6.831 billion, or $23.90 per share. Revenue rose 43.3% to $46.098 billion from $32.168 billion a year earlier. The results reflect substantially higher earnings and sales compared with the prior-year quarter.
