Vulcan Materials Posts Lower Q3 Earnings, Revenue Falls 4.7% to $2.18 Billion

Vulcan Materials Co. (VMC) reported a decline in third-quarter earnings, with net income falling to $362.3 million, or $2.80 per share, down from $374.9 million, or $2.82 per share, a year earlier, the company announced. Excluding one-time items, the construction aggregates producer posted adjusted earnings of $2.83 per share from continuing operations.
