Vertiv Launches SmartIT Integrated AI Rack Solution With Factory-Verified Power and Liquid Cooling

Vertiv (VRT-US) on October 26 introduced SmartIT, a high-density AI infrastructure solution that packages racks, DC power, chip-level liquid cooling and monitoring into a single system verified before shipment. The company said SmartIT is available globally, targeting enterprises, research institutions and data center colocation operators. Built on Nvidia's MGX and Open Compute Project (OCP) architectures, SmartIT lets customers source integrated equipment from a single vendor and scale from one rack to multiple racks on the same architecture, reducing on-site coordination among suppliers. Vertiv said SmartIT was previously deployed with Nvidia to support DGX GB300; some Rubin-series configurations are still pending, with final specifications and commercial availability subject to engineering validation. The units include leak detection, alarms and monitoring, plus installation, commissioning and maintenance services. Customers must still prepare facility power and cooling upstream of the rack, which are not included in the kit.
