KFC launches $3.49 Go Bucket snack line as U.S. market share slips
Yum! Brands' KFC introduced Go Buckets on Monday, a cupholder-sized snack item priced from $3.49, as the chain seeks to recover U.S. chicken market share. Each Go Bucket pairs four nuggets, two wings or one tender with fries or potato wedges. The six combinations carry 16 to 18 grams of protein, with dipping sauces including Comeback Sauce and KFC Sauce. The concept debuted last month at KFC's Open House prototype in McKinney, Texas, and has run for years in Australia and Canada, Nation's Restaurant News reported. It follows value offers including 5 for $5 Tenders and a $20 Build-a-Bucket. KFC's U.S. chicken share fell from 16% in 2021 to 9.4% in 2024, trailing Chick-fil-A, Popeyes and Raising Cane's, according to the report.
